A blemished set includes badges for both sides of your vehicle:

Depending on availability, blemished Badges of Honor sets come in two options:

Standard Set (Includes 2 Badges with 3M Tape): This traditional mount adheres directly to your vehicle using automotive 3M tape.

Swappable Set (Includes 2 Badges/Mounts with 3M Tape): A FilaForge original, this mount lets you easily swap out faceplates for another anytime without needing to remove the mount. Adheres to your vehicle with automotive 3M tape. See the video in product photos.

All Badges of Honor are handcrafted, so slight variations and imperfections in the finish can be expected. Blemished badges display more noticeable differences in surface or design, classified into two levels of character: Minor and Major. The visibility of these variations, based on viewing distance, determines their classification.

Minor Character:
Blemishes visible 1ft away or closer
These details are only noticeable up close or when light hits just right. Badges may include a mix of micro debris, microbubbles, small divots, slightly raised vinyl texture, or minor surface variations.

Major Character:
Blemishes visible from up to 3ft away
These badges can include a mix of microbubble clusters, micro debris, surface flaws, raised texture, or bubbles within the design vinyl. They’re classified as having major character because the flaws are visible within the design itself and up to 3ft away. This is the most discounted option.

All sales are final for blemished sets.

To ensure a smooth installation these are the recommended tools for the job:

If you purchased a Swappable set, it is recommended to attach the faceplate to the mount prior to installing on your vehicle. Be sure the faceplate is fully attached by ensuring it is flush with the plate. Then attach the entire kit to the vehicle.

For long-lasting adhesion, install in dry conditions above 40° F

Cleaning: Badges are made with outdoor-rated materials, but avoid harsh chemicals or polishes. Use car soap, dish soap, or window cleaner with a microfiber cloth to gently clean the face of the badge.

When cleaning your vehicle, both badge mount types can be safely pressure washed without causing damage. However, for swappable faceplates, it is recommended that you remove them before going through an automatic car wash. For all badge types, please note that we cannot guarantee that automatic car washes will not cause damage. Hand washing is always the safest option to maintain the look and longevity of your badges.

Removing a Standard (Permanent) Mount: Apply heat to soften the 3M adhesive, then carefully remove the badge. Note: The badge may bend or be damaged during removal.

Removing a Swappable Mount: Slide the faceplate upward to remove it. Then apply heat to loosen the 3M adhesive on the back mount plate and carefully remove it. The back mount plate may be damaged during removal. Note: If your back mount plate is damaged, contact us regarding a replacement.

Car Wash Guidance: For swappable sets, always remove the faceplate before using a standard car wash. We are not responsible for lost or damaged badges. Badges are generally safe for touchless or manual pressure washing.

Q: Will the badge fade or peel over time?
A: Our badges are designed to look great for years without yellowing or peeling, thanks to UV-resistant, outdoor-rated materials that stand up to sun and weather. In most climates, they’ll perform beautifully for many seasons. In harsher environments, such as extreme heat, high UV exposure, or severe cold, the lifespan may be slightly reduced, but they are still built to last for years.

Q: Can I swap my badge design later?
A: Yes. If you own a swappable mount, you can purchase new faceplates, at a discounted rate, to change your badge design without replacing the entire mount.

Q: How do I swap out my badge designs?
A: To change designs on a swappable mount, gently press on the faceplate and slide it upward to remove. To install a new faceplate, line it up with the base and slide it downward until it sits flush with the mount. A small amount of wiggle room is normal once installed, but rest assured the badge will stay secure while driving.

Q: Can the badge be reused after removal?
A: Badges and mounts are designed for one-time application. Removal often damages the adhesive or mounting plate, so reinstallation isn’t guaranteed. If you plan on changing the design and/or color scheme, we recommend purchasing a swappable set.

Q: Are these badges safe for all weather?
A: Yes, they’re designed to endure rain, snow, heat, and cold without issue for many years.

Q: Will the badges damage my car’s paint?
A: No, the mounts use automotive-grade adhesive that’s strong, safe for your paint, and removable when needed. The badge never touches or rubs against your vehicle’s surface.

Q: What if the badge I want is out of stock?
A: Badges are produced in batches, so if a design, mount option, or color combo is sold out, restocking may take 1–3 months. Some designs and colors may be limited edition or only return if popular. We’re working hard to increase availability, decrease production time, while expanding options. That said, if you see a design you like, it’s best to snag it before it’s gone.

Q: Can I return or exchange my badge set?
A: Returns are accepted within 30 days of purchase if the badges are in unused condition. You’ll need to cover return shipping, and refunds are issued once the badges are received and inspected. Exchanges are not offered at this time due to limited quantities. Please note that blemished sets are final sale and not eligible for return.
